In Nicoya Waterkeeper we organize beach cleanups every month, so stay tuned to know when the next one is. We post them on facebook and instagram!

Purchase eco-friendly items: certain products harm marine habitats. Fortunately, in town you can find chemical-free sunscreen, bamboo toothbrushes, metallic straws, glass bottles and lots more! Change your consumption habits to more sustainable ones.

Save water: when cleaning and showering try to use the less water possible and shrink your water footprint.

Influence change in our community: contact the municipality to let them know you support marine conservation projects. We should focus on welcoming the number of tourists that the town can handle in a sustainable way, respecting the capacity of the natural resources.

Support local organizations that work to protect the oceans and rivers: in the district of Cobano, we have many organizations that have plenty of sustainable projects.
