Tus acciones importan

Your actions matter

Our daily actions have an impact on our surroundings, people and nature. We can not avoid this impact, but we can reduce it. Maybe you have asked yourself if a small action can generate change in the environment and the answer is: yes, every action counts!

Why is individual action so important? Human beings imitate the behaviour of others. If you do something that contributes to the environment, maybe a friend will follow you and so forth, thus creating collective change. Everything starts with one single person and one single action.

If you have decided to take action and you do not know where to start, here you have a list with some environmental conservation practices you could adopt:

  • Turn your kitchen into an environmentally friendly one: replace your sponge with a luffa one and your detergent with a biodegradable one.
  • Remember to bring a reusable bag to the grocery store instead of asking for a plastic one. Plastic bags are not recyclable in the area and they generate a lot of pollution since they remain on the earth for 150 years (or more?)
  • Compost your food scraps. Check out our composting guide to generate your own free organic compost for your plants.
  • If you don’t need it, please don’t buy it! We are used to consuming without thinking, but it does not need to continue being like that. Remember this blog note when you are about to buy something and ask yourself if it is something that you really need.
  • If you bought it, reuse or recycle it! Do not forget to recycle all the plastic (1, 2 and 5), metal, glass, and tetrabrick that you buy.
  • Use chemical-free sunscreen to protect the ocean and its marine life.
  • Buy products in bulk or bring your own container to reduce your plastic consumption.

We recommend that you implement some (or all) of these options to reduce your environmental impact and ensure a healthy and sustainable future.
